Jet Lag? Cure It With One Of These 5 Drinks

Jet lag is common among frequent travelers. Fatigue can soothe you into a deep sleep, making you miss important meetings and throw you off schedule. Imagine sleeping off and missing a scheduled business meeting, tour visit, or even missing out on a scheduled flight. Exasperating, isn’t it? Fortunately, there are natural cures for this! Top health brewers have come up with juices, tonics, and teas that cure many ailments, including insomnia.

  1. Water

Our bodies are made up of about 80% of water. Therefore, dehydration hinders the optimal functioning of our bodies, causing fatigue, dizziness, and headache. Being jet-lagged further worsens these conditions. Whitney Tingle, the founder of Sakara Life, says that keeping hydrated is key for eliminating dryness, bloating arising from travel, and feelings of jet lag. Avoid black tea, coffee, and black tea when traveling by plane. These drinks are diuretics and will dehydrate you further. Instead, replace these beverages with water. The emeralds-colored balm is a preferred brand of night water. This water contains chlorella which detoxifies your body and improves digestion. When you drink this water before retiring to bed, you will wake up fresh and looking forward to the day ahead. Alternatively, add a drop of Rosemary oil to a bottle of Beauty Water. The oils boost the immune system, relieves nausea and cramps, improves digestion, and uncomfortable respiratory complications from the recycled plane air.

  1. Tea

Tea contains adaptogens, a polysaccharide, which distress and soothe your body’s systems. Adaptogens have a great taste and target at least five organs when consumed. The Anima Mundi JetLag tea has both distressing and immune boosting properties. This tea contains astragalus, ashwagandha, and maca, and many other ingredients. Adaptogens should be taken early in the morning to cleanse the body system and boost body system’s energy. For a chai-latte taste, you can add cinnamon or vanilla to your tea.

  1. Moon Juice

It is recommended to have a sound sleep before traveling so that when you wake up, you will be fresh and energized to adjust to the different time zone. Never rely on sleep inducing drugs as they will make you feeling a bit dizzy. Instead, prepare and the Moon Juice drink before you retire to bed. Simply mix a teaspoon of Moon Juice Goodnight Dust into a cup of water to make this drink. The moon juice is natural, hence free of energy-sapping chemicals. Adding Almond milk to the moon juice confers it the additional benefit of calming and grounding the nervous system. Consuming this drink three days before traveling, will effectively destress your body system, making it ready for the impending flight.

  1. Turmeric Tonic

The biggest challenge when traveling is trying to condition your body circadian pattern to the new time zones. Your body’s internal rhythms do not adjust with the change in the time zones. This experience will often leave you sleepy when you should be awake, or vice-versa. To overcome this challenge, use turmeric. Turmeric has potent anti-inflammatory ingredients which relieve symptoms of fatigue and headaches. You should introduce turmeric in your diets a few days before the date of the scheduled flight.
